Before you wonder why someone put two hands on top of a cake, be sure to notice the berries in the top corner of the cake. If you haven’t already guessed it, the two hands are Peeta’s and Katniss’ hands from the Hunger Games. The cake is depicting the scene when they stand back to back holding hands before they eat the Nightlock berries. The side of the cake says “MORE THAN A PIECE IN THEIR GAMES.” I love how realistic the hands on this cake look. I also love how it portrays the deeper meaning of the books.
