This Fabulous Earth Day Cake was made by Wendy Schiagwrein from Wendy’s Taarten 4 The Love of Cakes located in The Netherlands.
This Cake is part of the United Nations of Sugar Art (UNSA) Earth Day Collaboration: Acts of Green. This event focuses on the beauty of our planet, its animals, and its people. It will touch on the damage that is being done to our environment and how that damage is affecting humans and animals alike.

Hello, I am Wendy. I am a cake decorator from the Netherlands. I started baking about 10 years ago. I teach different cake techniques and I am an author of a few cake decorating books.
Here’s Wendy’s description of the cake:
When I was looking for inspiration for my cake I was listening to a song of a Dutch / English pagan band called ‘Omnia’. They make great music all in the glory of nature. My favourite song of theirs is called “Old man tree”. So I made a cake how I see the old man tree. A wise man who will always outlive stupid people who pollutes the world, nature will survive. If you want to hear there song find me on you tube and I will get my cake on there with the song. I asked them if they would like that and they did. Anything for nature and art.
