One of my favorite bakers, Jean Schapowal from Cakes with Character, e-mailed me yesterday and asked me If I’d help promote a charity fundraiser that she took part in. Bake a Christmas Wish is a collaboration of over 80 bakers from around the world who have crafted edible artwork to raise money to support Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. Make-A-Wish Foundation helps terminally ill children realize their dreams. Each baker has created an edible piece of art that represents their favorite Christmas special.
In addition to these stunning Christmas creations, each baker has also made a tutorial or recipe associated with their creation. You may purchase all of the tutorials for 15 pounds or one package of tutorials (containing approximately 20 tutorials) for just 4.50 pounds. To purchase these, go to Bake a Christmas Wish, in the right hand corner you’ll see a blue and white button labeled Shop. From there you can purchase the tutorials.
If you live in the UK, you can also buy raffle tickets from the Bake a Christmas Wish shop. Raffle tickets are 3 pounds. The raffle closes on December 14th, 2013. Here is the list of prizes:
There are more than 80 amazing Christmas creations to be found at Bake a Christmas Wish. Here is the first of my favorite creations for Bake A Christmas Wish. I will be posting others over the next few days to honor this wonderful charity event.
