Simone Lopez is a cake artist who also makes amazing cake toppers. As soon as the trailers for Captain America: Civil War began being released, Simone made this terrific cake. My favorite part of the cake is the cake topper. Half of the figure is Captain America and the other half is Iron Man. The thing which makes this cake topper so awesome is Simone setup the two figures so that their eyes, mouths, and chins line-up.

The cake is a round cake set on a round cake board. The cake board looks like Captain America’s shield. The cake is divided into a bunch of frame. Each frame has the picture of one character from the movie in it. You can see War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther, The Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Falcon from this view. One thing which really makes the pictures stand out is that they are partial profiles, so you only see half of each character.

The movie Captain America: Civil War is based on the comic book mini-series Civil War. From the movie’s previews, it looks like the two are different enough that the movie and comic book will complement each other not duplicate each other. If you haven’t read the mini-series, I highly recommend it. It is available on Amazon in both paper and digital formats.
