Captain Sisko is a Captain in Starfleet, in charge of Deep Space Nine and the Emissary the Prophets of Bajor. His edible bust is on top of one of the Bojoran Orbs of the Prophets.
This Splendid Captain Benjamin Sisko Cake was made for the Cake: The Final Frontier – A Celebration of 50 Years of Star Trek Collaboration.
Cake and sugar artists from around the world have come together to share their love of Star Trek. Cake, fondant, gum paste, chocolate, and gelatin were used to honor the 50-year legacy of Gene Roddenberry’s incredible vision of the future. These were presented in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Star Trek: Las Vegas 50th Anniversary convention, in partnership with Roddenberry Interactive, August 3-7, 2016.
Here is Isabel’s description of this fabulous Star Trek edible creation. I’ve included both an English translation and Isabel’s original text.
“Hi guys!!! I was dying to show you my last work, a real scale Star Trek Captain Benjamin Sisko’s bust for enjoyment of all trekkies! I would have liked to make a few more things but I had just two days to do it.
I’ve made this piece for the awesome “Cake: The Final Frontier (Celebrating 50 years of STAR TREK)” collaboration created by the great Scott Russell celebrating 50 years of Star Trek. Our pieces has been exhibited in recent convention in Las Vegas organized by Rod Roddenberry. Thanks you so much Scott for let me be part of this, for all your work and bring Sisko to Las Vegas! Thanks a lot to Amber, Jean, Heather and Mitchie for all your support and your hard work and congrats to all my partners for these stunning pieces!!
This bust is made with modelling chocolate and Satin Ice fondant. Hope you like it, I’m quite glad with this skin finish work and I’ve enjoyed a lot making my Emissary.”

Estoy segura que los más trekkies van a enloquecer jeje 😀 No he podido añadirle todos los elementos que hubiese querido pero últimamente ando muy mal de tiempo y solo tenía 2 días para hacer la pieza 🙁
Este trabajo lo hice para la fantástica colaboración “Cake: The Final Frontier (Celebrating 50 years of STAR TREK)” creada por el gran Scott Russell con motivo del 50 aniversario de Star Trek. Todas las piezas han sido expuestas en la convención de Las Vegas organizada por Rod Roddenberry. El busto está hecho con chocolate plástico y fondant Satin Ice. Espero que os guste, yo estoy muy contenta con el resultado, creo que es a día de hoy mi mejor busto por todo el trabajo de texturizado que hay por detrás, he disfrutado muchísimo haciendo esta pieza.
