This Marvelous Tribute To Majel Barrett-Roddenberry was made for the Cake: The Final Frontier – A Celebration of 50 Years of Star Trek Collaboration.
Cake and sugar artists from around the world have come together to share their love of Star Trek. Cake, fondant, gum paste, chocolate, and gelatin were used to honor the 50-year legacy of Gene Roddenberry’s incredible vision of the future. These were presented in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Star Trek:Las Vegas 50th Anniversary convention, in partnership with Roddenberry Interactive, August 3-7, 2016.
Majel Barrett-Roddenberry has been in all of the Star Trek television series. Her first role was as Number One in the first pilot for Star Trek called The Cage. She was both first officer and the helm officer of the Enterprise.
She then played the beloved Nurse Christine Chapel of Star Trek: The Original Series. She worked well with Doctor McCoy and had a crush on Mr. Spock.
She played the voice of nurse Chapel and M’Ress in Star Trek: The Animated Series.
She was Lwaxana Troi on Star trek: The Next Generaton and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
She was also the voice of the Starship Enterprise computer in episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Enterprise, and in five of the Star Trek films.
