This Awesome Casablanca Cake was made by Mike’s Amazing Cakes.
This cake perfectly represents the plane to Lisbon in which Victor Lund and his wife Elsa flee Casablanca and fly to the safety of Lisbon with the help of Rick Blaine, played by Humphrey Bogart.
There is a small film poster with Rick and Elsa resting against the wing of the plane. There is a poster of Paris resting on the other wing of the plane. That reminds me when Rick tells Elsa, “We’ll always have Paris.”
As I was writing up this cake, I was watching The Flash. In this particular episode, Wally West tells Jesse Quick that Casablanca is his favorite movie as scenes from Casablanca are displayed on their television screen.
Casablanca is one of the true classic Romantic movies to come out of Hollywood.
