Jasmine is surrounded by edible beautiful agate nodule slices. The craftsmanship of the agate is amazing. It looks like they might be made from isomalt.
Natural agate is translucent variety of microcrystalline quartz. A nodule is a lot like a geode, but a geode is hollow in the middle. Agate is sometimes used to make gemstones and jewelry.
The hand-painted Jasmine figure on the side of the cake is wonderful. The cake is painted a dark color to cause it to fade into the background so Jasmine and the nodules catch your attention.
I like the way natural beauty is combined with hand-drawn artistry.
