It Is Party Time With These Beautiful Carnival Cakes!

Anastasia Kaliazin cake

This Fabulous Carnival costume cake was made by Anastasia Kaliazin from Anastasia’s Cakes.

This is the third day of my four part series featuring cakes from the Carnival Cakers Collaboration which is an annual virtual international event that showcases and celebrates different carnivals around the world. The administrator is Heba Elalfy, the owner of Sweet Dreams by Heba

Nigeria’s ‘Calabar Carnival and Festival’ is featured this year. It is known as Africa’s biggest street party. This carnival lasts through the entire month of December each year. Calabar aims to include more aspects of local Nigerian heritage and culture, while at the same time strengthening the capacity of locals to participate in an economically beneficial way.

Various cake, cookie and sugar artists from around the globe contributed a design using fondant, royal icing, modeling paste, isomalt, wafer paper, etc. Hosting a collaboration takes tremendous planning and effort. The Carnival Cakers have once again risen up to the challenge and created amazing cakes, cookies and figurines.

Disclaimer : The Carnival Cakers Collaboration have used all inspiration pictures as just that, inspiration and not copied. They give full credit to the original photographers/owners of those inspiration pictures. They do not benefit financially from this collaboration.

Here is Anastasia’s description of this Fabulous cake:

For my cake I used textured ganache, covered in gold to have that chic shine of the carnival. Decorated with some multicolored gelatin sequins, edible lace and feathers.
