“You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”
Move over David Banner, I think Batman just stole your tagline.
Batman Day is this Saturday, so this week I wanted to feature a pumpkin of Bruce Wayne’s alter ego.
This amazing Batman Pumpkin Carving shows the Dark Knight in the pouring rain. He is screaming at the top of his lungs in anger. Jake Voelker did such an amazing job when he carved this intricate Dark Knight pumpkin. Jake chose a close-up on Batman, so we only see him from his chest symbol upwards. This allows Jake to really focus on Batman’s face. This is where the carving is absolutely amazing. Jake did a wonderful job of conveying emotion. Batman is screaming at the top of his lungs and his face shows that he is both angry and in anguish.
If Jake had put Batman in a sunny day with flowers and butterflies, this pumpkin wouldn’t evoke the same emotions. Jake was brilliant, Batman is in the pouring rain. The rain is coming down in buckets and Batman is drenched. Behind him, you can see Gotham City. The buildings have their lights on, so you can tell this scene takes place at night.
I wonder if this pumpkin is on display at stately Wayne Manor this Halloween?

Adam West is my favorite live action Batman. This lovely Batman ’66 pumpkin carving is a tribute to him.
