The Haunted Mansion themed jack-o-lanterns are a great way for Happy Haunts to materialize.

In contrast, Baby Yoda’s adorable face makes a great one.

Further, one with Linus holding a sign saying Welcome Great Pumpkin is cute and a carved one with Lady and the Tramp is adorable.

Moreover, Rocket and Groot look ready for action carved from several different ones.

Baby Yoda Pumpkin Carving

Baby Yoda

This amazing pumpkin carving was created by Marc Evan from Maniac Pumpkins Carvers. My favorite part of this pumpkin is all the tiny hairs standing up on the top of his ear and head. That level of detail is stunning. I’m terrible at carving pumpkins, so I’m always amazed at the exquisite detail that pumpkin artists are able to create.

Instead of a rock this Halloween, number 8 gives you these wonderful Charlie Brown and The Great Pumpkin Carvings.

Linus Pumpkin Carving

Stitch

Before we wrap up this countdown, I have an important question. How do you keep Jack-o’-lanterns lit under the sea? The reason I’m asking is because coming in at number 1 are these Lovely Little Mermaid Pumpkin Carvings.

Little Mermaid Pumpkin Carving

The Little Mermaid

Stephie from DeviantArt created this terrific silhouette of Ariel sitting on a rock with sun setting behind her. You can see the sun reflected in the sea.

I hope you enjoyed the countdown! I plan to make it an annual event. But, you don’t need to wait a year to visit Between the Pages. I feature new content every day of the year.

Hedwig Pumpkin

Pumpkin carving of Hedwig flying through the air while carrying Harry's letter from Hogwarts

Hedwig Pumpkin

This magical Hedwig Pumpkin was carved by WunderKins Pumpkins. It features Hedwig flying through a starry sky carrying Harry’s letter from Hogwarts. The detail on Hedwig is astonishing. You can see each and every feather that covers the edge of her wings. You can also see the feathers that cover her body, The texture on Hedwig is wonderful. Her wings, body and face each have a different type of feather and those three types of feathers each have a completely different texture. I can’t image the number of little carves that had to be made to make all these these detail and textures.

Looking for more magical Harry Potter themed pumpkins?

Five separate pumpkin carvings were used to make this amazing Harry Potter vs. Lord Voldemort battle.

I can’t decide which I like more this great Dobby Pumpkin or the elaborate setting of books, scrolls and a stuffed animal of Hedwig used as props in the photograph.

This stunning pumpkin features the boats floating toward Hogwarts which towers overhead on a mountain.

Princess Leia Pumpkin

Pumpkin carving of Princess Leia wearing her white hooded outfit from A New Hope

Princess Leia Pumpkin

This wonderful Princess Leia Pumpkin was carved by Pumpkin Muse. It features Princess Leia in her hooded white outfit from the beginning of A New Hope.

Christy did a wonderful job with the carving and it bring back memories:

I worked in a department store in high school and college. A month or two before The Empire Strikes Back came out, our store was overflowing with Empire Strikes Back toys and merchandise. I knew what ever major character looked like before I saw the movie in the theater.

A New Hope was different. No one knew how successful it was going to be, so there wasn’t any toys or merchandise until after the movie became a hit. So, when I saw A New Hope in theater, I’d never heard of or seen images of Leia, Han, Chewie, Luke, Darth Vader or the droids. There have been a lot of edits to A New Hope over the years, but if I remember correctly – in the original version, the first time you see Leia, she is wearing this white outfit. She is hooded and stooped over giving R2-D2 the message for Obi-Wan Kenobi. It is a great introduction because she isn’t introduced beforehand. You have no idea who she is. She is even hooded so you barely see her face. Because she is a mystery, you want to learn more about her.

“Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.”

If you can’t tell it from this post, I love Star Wars and have featured many great Star Wars pumpkins in the past.

This awesome pumpkin pits Star Trek’s Enterprise against Star Wars’ Millennium Falcon.

This cool pumpkin features a side view of Boba Fett with his blaster drawn.

This amazing Baby Yoda carving is 3-D. The pumpkin shell is the pram and Baby Yoda is inside it.

Mad Madam Mim Pumpkin

Pumpkin carving of Mad Madam Mim holding Wart when he is a bird

Mad Madam Mim Pumpkin

This marvelous Mad Madam Mim Pumpkin was carved by Pop Culture Pumpkins. It features Mim holding Wart (i.e. King Arthur) who is a bird.

Mim is such a fun Disney Villain, so when I saw this carving of her I wanted to feature it. Disney’s The Sword in the Stone deals with the childhood of King Arthur. Arthur, nicknamed Wart through out the movie, is a young boy. The wizard Merlin befriends him. Merlin knows who Wart will become, so Merlin begins training Wart. To teach him wisdom and perspective, Merlin transforms him into different animals. While transformed into a sparrow, Wart is chased by a hawk. Wart finds shelter in a house. Unfortunately, the house contains something much more dangerous than the hawk – the Magnificent Marvelous Magical Mad Madam Mim.

If you’ve never seen Disney’s Sword in the Stone, I highly recommend it. As much as I like Wart, Merlin, and Archimedes (Merlin’s owl), Mim steals the show. Mim has a great song that she sings about herself. The highlight of the movie is a wizards duel between Mim and Merlin. “Did I say no purple dragons? Did I?”

Looking for more Disney Villains pumpkins?

Ursula, Flotsam and Jetsam would like to know if pumpkin carvings stay lit under the sea?

Don’t skip these gorgeous pumpkins featuring the Evil Witch and Maleficent. They project an image on the wall behind them. So you have Maleficent projecting the Dragon and the Evil Queen turning in to the Evil Witch with the Magic Mirror literally on the wall.

These villainous carvings include Ursula, The Headless Horseman, Chernabog and Cruella de Vil.
