Amazing Glow In The Dark Haunted Mansion Cookies

Haunted Mansion Cookies

These wonderful Haunted Mansion Cookies were made by Sugared Art. There are four cookies in this set:

  • A black and white cookie of the Hatbox ghost. The background of the cookie is black and the ghost’s head and hat are white.
  • The five busts from the graveyard which sing Grim Grinning Ghosts. The cookie has the lyrics “Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize” on it. I really like how accurate the busts are. Stephanie even included the bust which is laying partly on its side because it has a broken base. My favorite thing about this cookie. When you turn off the lights it glows in the dark!
  • A plaque which reads Welcome Foolish Mortals. If you looks closely you’ll see a bat, raven and spider on the plaque.
  • A side silhouette of the bride. She is wearing a wedding down and is holding an axe. The words “‘Til Death Do Us Part” are written in black inside her dress.

Stephanie did an absolutely wonderful job creating these spooktacular cookies.

The Haunted Mansion is my husband’s favorite theme park ride, so I’ve featured a bunch of terrific Haunted Mansion cookies and cakes over the years. A few of my favorite are – a Haunted Mansion cake based on one of the stretching room portraits and this Haunted Mansion Cookie Gift Box. (Since pretty every time I deliver or ship cookies, I try to arrange them in box, I’m always curious to see other’s gift boxes.) While definitely not edible, I also adore this Haunted Mansion pumpkin that casts the image of the hitchhiking ghosts on the wall.

Hurry back! I’ll have another spectacular Halloween trick or treat tomorrow!

Madame Leota Gets The Spotlight On This Haunted Mansion Cake

Haunted Mansion Cake

This marvelous Haunted Mansion Cake was made by Delectable Cakes.  The front of the cake is the wallpaper from the mansion with black curtains on the side. The cake is topped with Madame Leota’s crystal ball and two sets of candles.

Madame Leota’s face is in the crystal ball.

I really like the ornate stands for the candles and crystal ball.

Madame Leota Cake Topper 2

Unfortunately Tyann doesn’t have a video of it, but the candles actually lit up. How cool is that?

Madame Leota Cake Topper 3

Madame Leota was made with gum paste then painted with edible markers, luster dust and cocoa butter.

Having a wooden frame around the wallpaper is a neat touch. I also really like the black curtains around the sides of the frame.

Haunted Mansion Wallpaper

Tyann drew the wallpaper by hand with an edible marker.  That had to be a ton of work, but it turned out wonderfully.

How To Make Haunted Mansion Cookies

Haunted Mansion Anniversary Cookies

The Cool Cookie Show has this terrific tutorial on How to Make Haunted Mansion Cookies based on Disney’s Haunted Mansion ride.

Here’s the wonderful video she did. It shows exactly how she made the Madame Leota cookie, the Bride cookie, and the Doom Buggy cookie with the three Hitchhiking Ghosts.

The Bride cooke has the words, I Do, I Did…

All the ghosts appear as light green. The cookie backgrounds are purple and black.

The colors of the cookies are purple, green, gray, and black. Notice how she uses a very fine tip marker for the details.  Most edible markers do not draw lines as fine as needed here.

Madame Leota Cookie

This Madame Leota cookie shows her floating head as she says,

‘Send us a message from somewhere beyond! Awaken the spirits with your tambourines! Let there be music from regions beyond! Give us a hint… by ringing a bell!’

Awaken the spirits this halloween and make up a batch of Haunted Mansion cookies.

My family loves the Haunted Mansion attraction and we ride it multiple times every time we go to Disneyland or Walt Disney World.  My husband is such a fan that I made him Haunted Mansion cookies for his birthday so I can tell you they are harder than they look.
