Spider-Man Pie

Wow! This amazing Spider-Man Pie was made by Jessica Leigh Clark-Bojin from Pies Are Awesome. It features Spider-Man swinging towards you. Behind him is a cityscape.

I’m a fan of Jessica’s work and have made two Star Trek: The Next Generation Pies after studying her videos. My designs were made by carving the top crusts before I baked them. While I was really happy with the results, they don’t hold a candle to Jessica’s work.

The reason I love Jessica’s work is because she does so much more with her pie. Every part of the pie is a key piece in the finished artwork. The detail and color on Spider-Man is amazing. She framed the cityscape with sprinkled brown sugar and it looks great. The sun shinning down on the cityscape is made from individual rows of two different fruit filling. The way she mixes pie crust, filling and brown sugar to make a piece of art is simply stunning!

Venom Chocolate Strawberries

Venom Chocolate Strawberries

Venom Chocolate Strawberries

These awesome Venom Chocolate Strawberries were made by Sweets by Isis. There are six strawberries in this set. They are dipped in a dark chocolate and then all of the accents are white.

These are four different designs. Three of the strawberries are Venom’s head. Two of these add red for his tongue.  Another strawberry has Venom’s spider shaped chest emblem. One of the strawberries has the Venom logo. The last one has the phrase “We Are Venom”.

The way Isis used a dark chocolate and had almost of almost all of the accents white, really make these strawberries pop.

Spectacular Spider-Gwen 7th Birthday Cake

Spider-Gwen 7th Birthday Cake

Spider-Gwen 7th Birthday Cake

This spectacular Spider-Gwen 7th Birthday Cake was made by Cake-A-Doodle By Nimitha Moideen. It features Spider-Gwen standing in front of a spider web with a cityscape above her.

Spider-Gwen’s costume is really complex. If she had been created during the Silver or Bronze Age of comics, her costume would have been redesigned because printing back then couldn’t have created the pink and purple design inside her cowl and on her arms. Nimitha does an amazing job recreating this extremely difficult costume.

The use of color on this cake is terrific. Gwen’s costume has four colors – white, black, pink, and purple. The cake behind Gwen is pink with a large spider web, while the cityscape above her is purple. This draws out these two colors in Gwen’s costume.

Here is Cinzia’s bio:

My name is Cinzia D’Adamo. I am 44 years old and live in the province of Rome. I started my path between vanilla, sugar and flower several years ago, until I came across the cake design, a world completely unknown to me but which has aroused great interest. I am self taught learning from the various techniques originally Anglo-Saxon and have exceeded by attending courses held by Cake designers of which I have great esteem. The desire to get involved has pushed me over the years to take part in more or less important competitions until last year for the first time at Sigep obtaining the First Prize at the Aesthetic Gicakes 2015 and a recent recognition with Gold Award in the International Class at Cake International in Birmingham.
My work has been published in American Cake Decoration.

I wanted to represent Mary Jane Watson because I wanted to highlight one of the characters of Marvel Comic forced to a secondary role. From friend and confidant later companion of Peter Park alias Spider-Man, a loyal woman whose trust and who kept his secret.
