Star Wars Cake

This anniversary cake was made by Pam’s Custom Cakes.  Tony proposed to Michelle, from Thank You Sweets, on the top of Half dome in Yosemite.  Since Tony is a huge Star Wars fan, Michelle had this cake made as a surprise for their anniversary.  The cake is a recreation of the proposal on half dome, but with a Star Wars theme.  The bride is an Asian Princess Leia and the groom is an Asian Han Solo.  Their droids are there to guide them into eternal happiness and Yoda is there to give them vague but wise advice.

The figures are made from Rice Krispies Treats and are made to look like Kokeshi.  Kokeshi are Japanese dolls that are handmade from wood, have a simple body with no arms or legs, and an enlarged head with a few thin, painted lines to define the face.
