My daughter and I made this Lord of the Rings Cupcake Tower for my niece’s birthday. The centerpiece was an Eye of Sauron Cake. The cake was covered in Fondant and hand painted.
Here’s a close-up of the Eye of Sauron Cake. When looking at images of the Eye of Sauron from the motion picture trilogy the Lord of the Rings, we noticed that the center of the eye looked like the One Ring. We tried to reflect that in our cake.
The side of the cake has the One Ring’s inscription. The letters are Elven. Translated, it reads:
One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them,
One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
The cupcakes were hand painted to match the Eye of Sauron. Each has an Elven letter from the One Ring’s inscription on it.
