LOTR Barad-dur cake

LOTR Barad-dur cake

This LOTR Barad-dur cake features the Dark Tower Barad-dur on the top and the Hobbit hole Bag End on the bottom.  Fondant figures of Frodo and Gollum are at the base of the tower. The Lord of the Rings is written in gold letters at the base of the tower.

This wonderful cake was made by Little Cherry Cake Company.

This cake is an interesting contrast of Sauron’s stronghold in Mordor on top and Bilbo Baggin’s Hobbit Hole from Hobbiton on the bottom. The Eye of Sauron is at the top of the Dark Tower.  The house is covered in green fondant grass.  In addition, green fondant  bushes with white flowers are around the house.  A stone path is in front of the door. The green is a nice  contrast to the black tower. Moreover, if you look closely, a 21 on the tower is for a 21st birthday.

Lord of the Rings Cookies

I made these chibi Lord of the Rings cookies for a birthday gift. The Gollum cookie shows his face and several single strands of hair.  His precious is no where to be found on him.

The Legolas cookie has a Leaves of Lorien silver Elven leaf brooch to fasten his cloak.

The Gandalf the Grey cookie has him in his grey hat and robe.

In addition, the Samwise Gamgee cookie has him in a brown robe. His yellow hair makes him easily recognizable.

And the main character of the story is Frodo, so that cookie is in the middle. He is wearing the One Ring on a chain around his neck.

LOTR Cookies

These cookies were based on the characters from Chibi Coin Collections: the Lord of the Rings series mint coins by the New Zealand Mint. The coins were made of 1 oz of pure silver.

I liked the look of the mint coin characters, so I recreated their faces in cookie form.

These lovely Lord of the Rings Wedding Cake Topper Featuring Aragorn and Arwen were made by Genefy Playground.  These recreate the wedding of  Aragorn and Arwen from the Lord of the Rings movies.  Just like in the movies, Aragon looks handsome in his armor and matching crown.  Arwen is wearing a light green dress and her elven circlet tiara.

Incredible Frodo Bust Cake

Frodo Cake

This Incredible Frodo bust cake was made by Peccata Minuta Cake Art.

The detail of this Lord of the Rings cake is awesome. This looks like something you would find in a wax museum instead of a bakery.  Frodo’s eyes look life-like.

His green cape has the green Lorien Leaf brooch clasp. Galadriel gave them to the members of the Fellowship of the Ring except Gandalf because he was thought to be dead at the time.

Frodo is wearing the one true ring around his neck.

The One Ring was made by Lord Sauron in the fire of Orodruin, Mount Doom, during the Second Age. It was one of the most powerful Middle-Earth objects.

This poem from LOTR talks about this One Ring and the other rings.

Three rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,

Nine for mortal men doomed to die,

One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie

One Ring to rule them all,

One ring to find them,

One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Frodo was a great character. His quest led him from Bag End in the Shire to Mount Doom in Mordor.
