This Terrific Fell Beast vs. Eagle Cake was made by Kerry Morris of Eat Cake for the Cakes From Middle Earth Cake Collaboration. Kerry chose this theme because her favorite scene in Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is the scene where the Eagles come. This Lord of the Rings Cake was based on the Fell Beast vs. Eagle Weta bust.
Modeling chocolate was used to craft the Beast and the Eagle. Both were airbrushed and hand-painted. The tree stump was made using fondant and hand painted. Each eagle feather was cut out and hand placed on the eagle during a five hour time period. This Awesome edible work of art took about fifty hours to complete.
