Snoopy Shot Down By The Red Baron

Snoopy Cake

This Terrific Snoopy Cake was made by Michelle Borne of She Bakes Mudpies.

This Charlie Brown cake is part of The Sugar Peanuts Gang, a cake Collaboration to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts comic strip.

Snoopy is dressed as a World War I flying ace. He is wearing a brown leather flying cap with black goggles and a red scarf that is trailing behind him in the wind.  He has gotten into an aerial dogfight with the infamous Red Baron. The Red Baron snuck up behind Snoopy and riddled his Sopwith Camel (aka. his doghouse) with holes.

The holes are all over the red roof of Snoopy’s doghouse. Snoopy’s dog dish is beside his doghouse. A white fence is beside the doghouse. On the white fence is a Peanuts comic strip.

Peanuts Comic

This Peanuts Comic strip tells the story of Snoopy as a World War I flying Ace flying his Sopwith Camel over Belgium. He sees the Red Baron on his tail. His plane is riddled with holes where the Red Baron fired at him. His plane is on fire and Snoopy must bail out and jump to safety. He jumps and lands on the ground straight into his supper dish.

Charlie Brown comes up and tells him that the average World War fighter pilot did not usually jump out of a burning plane and land in his supper dish.
