This Splendid Steampunk Costume Cake was made by Tamara Woutersen of Sweetlake Cakes located in Zoetermeer, Netherland.
This Marvelous cake was created for the Steam Cakes – Steampunk Collaboration. To celebrate the Steampunk International Day, Cake Artists from around the world gathered to create their own edible Steampunk masterpieces.
The top of the cake is a light brown leather hat with with dark brown leather laces. Underneath the hat are blue roses with brown leaves. Below the leaves is a cake layer decorated with brown and white lace. This looks like the hat and top of a girl’s steampunk costume.
The next layer of the cake is white lace with white buttons and a gold watch on a leather band. This layer is like a lacy blouse.
This cake layer has leather belts that look like fasteners on a leather corset for the steampunk costume.
The bottom of the cake looks like a brown and black striped leather skirt with lace underneath.
