This Marvelous Fables of La Fontaine Cookie was made for the Everyone’s Story Matters Collaboration which is an international cake collaboration celebrating International Literacy Day in support of ALS Research. To celebrate International Literacy Day, a group of cake artists, from around the world, decided to honour all of the stories that matter to them, and to their children. William Joyce says it best in one of his books “Everyone’s story matters.”
Here is Marta’s description of this Fabulous cookie:
When I was 6 years old, I was given a book “Fables of La Fontaine” by Jean de La Fontaine, it was one of the best gifts I ever received, after 50 years I still treasure it. There are a few favourites among the 239 Fables written but for this Collaboration I chose the Fable “The Fox and the Crow”. My work, a flavoured vanilla Cookie is all piped with coloured Royal icing, it has just a few painted accents on the fox fur. @rainbowdust Progel and powder, were my election for this project’s colors.
