This gorgeous Sean Connery James Bond Pumpkin was created by Lisa Padovano Kretchman. The pumpkin features a young Sean Connery wearing a tuxedo. He is holding a pistol in his hand and the barrel of the pistol is resting on his face. On one side of the pumpkin is the iconic 007 logo. Above that is an eye with the silhouette of a gunman inside it. That’s based on the iconic opening sequence from the James Bond movies.
Lisa’s pumpkins have two really unique features.
First, she both carves and colors them. This is how the tuxedo is black with a collar that is a slightly lighter shade. By coloring the pumpkin, Lisa is able to create shading and images that would be almost impossible to achieve otherwise.
Second, Lisa’s pumpkins aren’t designed to be lit. A lot of artists paint pumpkins. For example, this Halloween season, I’ve featured two painted pumpkins – this amazing detailed pumpkin featuring Dumbledore & Dobby and this fun Haunted Mansion / Nightmare Before Christmas Mashup. Lisa’s pumpkins don’t look like a painted pumpkin or a carved pumpkin because she mixes both carving and coloring. The end result is stunning pumpkins with amazing detail.
