Alice in Wonderland

Marvelous Alice In Wonderland White Rabbit Hand-Painted Cake

Alice In Wonderland Cake

This wonderful Alice In Wonderland Cake was made by Marielly Parra from Ponquecitos and Cakes.

This marvelous White Rabbit hand-painted cake is a two-tiered cake with the White Rabbit on the side of the cake hurrying to his next appointment. He is holding a blue umbrella in his hand.

A 3-D version of his gold pocketwatch is in front of him.  The small door Alice must go through is on the cake tier below him. The green and pink hat of the Mad Hatter is on top of the cake.

The cake board is painted to look like the planks of a wooden floor. The brown at the top and bottom of the bottom tier blends in nicely with the wood pattern on the cake board.

Red hearts are painted on the bottom tier of the cake and pink flowers are the background of the top tier. It looks like a dainty wallpaper pattern since the cake tiers are mostly white.

I wonder if this terrific hat is another cake tier or if it was made using something like Rice Krispies Treats covered in modeling chocolate or fondant. The brim of the hat looks like modeling chocolate.

Adorable Alice in Wonderland Matching Cakes

Alice in Wonderland Cake

These Adorable Alice in Wonderland Matching cakes were made by Bake-a-boo Cakes.

This first cake is a single tier blue cake with a 3-D Alice sitting on top. Alice has a black bow in her hair and matching black and white striped stockings. A 6 of Hearts card from the Queen of Hearts army is on the side of the cake. He is holding a spear with a red heart at the top.

On one of our family’s most memorable trips to Walt Disney World, we all dressed up as one of the Queen of Hearts cards during a Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.  We got to be in the parade that night. It was great when one of the Disney cast members dressed in a card costume commented on our costumes.

The other cake is a light and dark purple striped single tier cake with the Cheshire Cat on the side and a 3-D White Rabbit inside a blue teacup on top of the cake.

4 Awesome Alice in Wonderland Cookies

Alice in Wonderland Cookies

These terrific Alice in Wonderland Cookies were made by Wici Cakes e Cupcakes – Confeitaria Artística. They feature Alice, the Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat, and the Mad Hatter.  These cookie mix the classic Disney animated version and the live action version by Tim Burton.  Alice looks like the classic Disney animated version, while the Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat, and the Mad Hatter look like Tim Burton’s version.

Mad Hatter Cookie

As his name implies, the Mad Hatter has a giant hat.  It had a large band with a size label in it and a large feather.  The Hatter has bright orange hair and bushy eye browns.  He has a large multicolored ascot.

Cheshire Cat Cookie

The Cheshire Cat has greyish blue fur, light blue eyes, and of course, he is smiling!

Queen of Hearts Cookies

Note Playing with the Queen of Hearts
Knowing it ain’t really smart
The Joker ain’t the only fool
Who’ll do anything for you Note

The Queen of Hearts has powered white skin, blue eye shadow, and red hair.  Obviously, she is wearing a crown.  With her personality, I’m surprised her crown isn’t larger and more ornate. She is wearing a dress with blue shoulders and a high white collar.  Her lipstick is applied in such a way that it makes her lips look heart shaped.

Superb Mad Hatter Cake

The Mad Hatter Cake

This Superb Mad Hatter Cake was made by Dorothy Klerck from Eat Cake Party.  This cake reminds me of the Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland who was played by Johnny Depp.

This Fabulous Mad Hatter Cake was made for the Everyone’s Story Matters Collaboration which is an international cake collaboration celebrating International Literacy Day in support of ALS Research. To celebrate International Literacy Day, a group of cake artists, from around the world, decided to honour all of the stories that matter to them, and to their children. William Joyce says it best in one of his books “Everyone’s story matters.”

Here is Dorothy’s description of this Fabulous cake:

Growing up I had a vivid imagination! So Alice in Wonderland was amazing to my young mind, scary too… Because it seemed so real!! I loved the mad hatter… Crazy but kind!!! He is my favorite, therefore… At long last…. I got to create him in cake!!
