Clever Little Cupcake made this wonderful Charlie Brown cake for Cake International in Birmingham. The cake reminds me of a nice fall day when Charlie Brown and all the Peanuts gang get together to hang out and play baseball. Everything on this cake is edible, including the supports. This Peanuts cake was made using chocolate cake and chocolate ganache.
On the top of the cake are Charlie Brown and Snoopy. Snoopy is sitting on his red and white dog house. He is wearing his aviation cap and yellow scarf while pretending to dog fight the Red Baron. Charlie Brown is standing beside him holding a baseball in his hand and a baseball bat is lying beside him. The side of the cake is light blue with white clouds to represent the sky.
Lucy’s PSYCHIATRIC HELP 5¢ booth is on the cake board beside the cake. The booth has a wood grain texture and the front of the booth says THE DOCTOR IS OUT. There is a wooden stool in front it.
Peppermint Patty and Marcie are standing talking to one another. Marcy is holding a green book in her hand and Peppermint Patty has her hand up next to her chin as if thinking about some new idea.
Schroeder, wearing a purple shirt with black shorts, is playing his piano. Woodstock is sitting on top of the piano. Lucy is standing at the top of the piano smiling at Schroeder. Lucy is wearing a blue dress.
Linus and Sally are in the middle of a Pumpkin Patch surrounded by orange pumpkins with green leaves and pieces of green vines still attached. This reminds me of the time when they waited for the Great Pumpkin on Halloween night. Linus is holding his blue blanket in one hand and is sucking the thumb of his other hand.
Pigpen is near the rear of the cake covered in dirt and standing in his very own dust cloud. Dust particles are twirling around his head.
