This Splendid Camping Cake was made by Denise Ray from Denise Ray Artworks. Three large soup cups are on the top of the cake. They have pictures of a camper, a campfire, and the words- Let’s Go Camping.
This Splendid Camping Cake was made for the Sweet Summer Collaboration which is a cake collaboration of more than 200 Cake Artists from around the world to celebrate summer in the sweetest way.
Here is Denise’s description of her Fabulous cake:
My name is Denise Ray, and I live in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. My inspiration for this Sweet Summer theme is my own backyard playground – the majestic Rocky Mountains. When the summer months arrive, we pack up the trailer and head out for fun camping adventures. It is our annual family vacation, our time to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of life, and let loose with our friends. I cherish every moment outdoors with Mother Nature: the smell of the trees and the campfire, enjoying beautiful hot summer days – along with uncomfortable inclement weather (yes, even snow!!!), and managing whatever terrain we’re up against. Many special memories have been made that will never be forgotten. It is such an honour to participate in this Sweet Summer collaboration, as it is also my first ever collaboration! Thank you so much Isabel Tamargo for this amazing opportunity. I feel humbled and thankful to be a part of such an amazing group of artists. This is my original design using fondant, gumpaste, and hand painted with edible gel paints.
