This splendid cake was made for the Cake Con Collaboration. Cake Con is a collaboration featuring amazing artists who have created sugar art inspired by TV series, comics & video game characters.
Here is Brendon and Jude’s description of this Amazing cake:
Jaylah is a 100% edible, vegan friendly cake, created to cater for up to 150 guests. Her head is made of dairy free chocolate and vegan marshmallow, coated in honeycombe, surrounded by a vegan gel and then covered in vegan friendly fondant. Her arms and legs are made of the same delicious candy treats. Her body is made of vegan chocolate mud cake, with small cake planets and stars dotted throughout the mix to reflect her stellar history. She stands at 170 cm tall (5ft 7 inches), and is made up of 20kg of fondant, 18 kg of cake, 9kg of ganache, and 7kg of chocolate and candy. She stands on a frame of silicone coated lightweight stainless steel with a silicone covered wooden base. Even her eyelashes are edible. Jaylah is a delight for the eyes and a delight for the tastebuds-enjoy! We used Rolkiem Paints and Vizyon Polen Oceania Fondant-phenomenal product.
