Sleeping Beauty Cake

This Beautiful Sleeping Beauty Cake has Princess Aurora as the centerpiece of the cake.

This wonderful cake was made by Teddy Baker. 

I like this Princess Aurora because she is the entire focus of this 2 tier cake.  She is as tall and as wide as the cake behind her.

Also, layers of gumpaste or fondant could have been used to make her.

In particular, the white collar is a separate piece on top of her pink dress. The top of her hair is in front of her crown and of the sides of her hair. Furthermore, her hair is on top of her face.

Then she is attached to the cake and the cake board.

Sleeping Beauty has elements of 3-D because of these layers and because she is standing in front of the cake.

In addition, white roses surround her and remind me of her name Briar Rose.  This climbing rose is long enough to totally surround her.

The pink of the cake boards blends nicely with the pink on her dress.

Her gold crown and necklace match the gold birthday name and age written on the cake board and the gold border around the cake board.

This is a picture of the elegant gold box that the cake arrives in.
