Garfield’s Halloween Adventure Cookie

This cookie shows Garfield dressed as a pirate and Odie dressed as a vampire.
Garfield’s Halloween Adventure Cookie

Believe it or not, this year is the 40th anniversary of Garfield’s Halloween Adventure! I can remember when it was brand new and shown on TV once a year. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ve seen it in at least a decade.

This cute Garfield’s Halloween Adventure Cookie was made by La Casita de Galleta. Garfield is dressed as a pirate and Odie is dressed as Count Dracula. Garfield is wearing a purple pirate hat with a white skull and crossbones on it. He has a wooden peg leg and a wooden sword. He has on blue shorts and has a brown cross body strap that holds up his shorts.

Odie is wearing a Count Dracula cape that is blue on the outside and pink on the inside. He is also wearing fangs.

Both Garfield and Odie look like they’re having fun Trick or Treating. I wonder how many lasagnas Garfield will get?

This is action figures of Garfield and Odie, both dressed as pirates, from the TV special - Garfield's Halloween Adventure

As part of Garfield’s Halloween Adventure 40th anniversary, Boss Fight made these wonderful figures of Garfield and Odie. The accuracy and detail is amazing!

As I said earlier, I haven’t seen this Halloween special in years. So, I forgot that Odie was also dressed as a pirate.

If you look at Halloween fan art of Garfield and Odie, Odie is usually dressed as Count Dracula just like on Silvia’s spooktacular cookie.

A Garfield comic where both Garfield and Odie use blue blankets to dress up as Dracula.

The only comic strip I can find with Odie dressed as Count Dracula is this strip from November 1st, 1995. Odie just has a blue blanket, not a Dracula cape.

An Odie plushie. Odie is wearing a Dracula cape.

I don’t know when Odie became associated with Dracula, but it has been awhile, because I have found plenty of listing for this plushie. Play by Play use to make this cute Odie Count Dracula plushie, but I haven’t found anything that saying when this stuffed animal was made.

The only other Garfield Halloween item I’ve posted is this gorgeous Garfield Pumpkin carved by Danny Kissel.

These cute Garfield 21st Birthday Cupcakes were made by Hera Bakery. I would hide them quickly because if Garfield see them, there won’t be any left.

This wonderful set of Garfield & Friends 8th Birthday Cookies were made by Emily Hampton from Stellar Bakes. They feature Garfield, Jon, Odie, Pooky, Arlene and Nermal.

Prefer dogs over cats? These great Odie Cookies were made by Kelly’s Sugar High. There are five different designs – Odie about to pounce on a birthday cupcake with a candle, a birthday cake with Odie popping out of it, a profile view of Odie, a messy cookie which Odie helped with and a forty’s birthday cookie.

I’ve even featured Jim Davis’ other comic strip – U.S. Acres. These cookies were made by Nubeglass Galletas Glaseadas. They include Lanolin Sheep, Odie (from Garfield. Did he ever appear in U.S. Acres?),  Wade Duck (I love the design of this character because he is a duck who always wears a duck innertube), Sheldon (I think everyone can relate to an egg who refuses to hatch), and Orson.
