This Splendid Tribal Music Cake was made for the Music Around The World – Cake Notes Collaboration which is a cake collaboration that gathered forty-one cake and sugar artists from all over the world to celebrate the International Day of Music in the sweetest way. The collaboration covers cultural aspects of music made around the world, representing music genres and instruments from all over the world.
Here is Cinzia’s bio:
My name is Cinzia D’Adamo. I am 45 years old and live in the province of Rome. I started my path between vanilla, sugar and flour several years ago, until I came across the cake design, a world completely unknown to me but which has aroused great interest, making grow more and more the desire to know, to know and learn the various techniques originally Anglo-Saxon self-taught then carry them further by attending courses held by Cake designer of which I have great esteem. The desire to get involved has pushed me over the years to take part in more or less important competitions until I land last year for the first time at Sigep obtaining the First Prize at the Aesthetic Gicakes 2015 or the recent recognition with a Gold Award in the ‘ International Class at Cake International in Birmingham, as well as collaborations with the magazine American Cake Decorating, where some of my creations have been published. My secret dream…. is there waiting, in the meantime I try to build a solid foundation that can get me closer to its realization.
Meu nome é Cinzia D’Adamo. Tenho 45 anos e moro na província de Roma. Eu comecei o meu caminho entre a baunilha, açúcar e farinha há vários anos, até que me deparei com o cake design, um mundo completamente desconhecido para mim, mas que tem despertado grande interesse, fazendo crescer mais e mais o desejo de saber, de conhecer e aprender as várias técnicas originalmente Anglo-Saxónicas. Inicialmente auto-didata, em seguida quiz ir mais longe participando de cursos realizados por cake designer pelos qual tenho grande estima. O desejo de me envolver levou-me ao longo dos anos a participar em competições mais ou menos importantes, até ele cair no ano passado, pela primeira vez na Sigep obtendo o Primeiro Prémio no Aesthetic Gicakes 2015 ou o recente reconhecimento com um Gold Award no ‘Class International em Birmingham, bem como colaborações com a revista americana de decoração do bolo, onde algumas das minhas criações têm sido publicados. O meu sonho secreto …. está lá esperando, entretanto eu tento construir uma base sólida, que pode deixar-me mais perto de sua realização.

My design is inspired by Africa, where music and dance are cultural elements of great social and religious value. Where its music is mainly characterized by drums beaten at a frantic pace and repetitive that you capture in a vortex and almost make you lose the sense of reality as if you were under the influence of a hypnosis, with that Tam Tam that invites the body to follow the rhythm of the vibrations. I’ve never been to Africa but I chose this theme because I like the rhythm, the colors culture. I read …. “mal d’Africa” on his return from a trip, and this fascinates me dragging me makes me want to live the way they are! Africa …. sooner or later we will meet.
O meu projeto é inspirado pela África, onde a música ea dança são elementos culturais de grande valor social e religioso. Onde sua música é caracterizada principalmente por tambores batidos num ritmo frenético e repetitivo que se capta num vórtice quase fazendo perder o sentido da realidade, como se se estivesse sob a influência de uma hipnose, com esse Tam Tam, que convida o corpo para acompanhar o ritmo das vibrações. Eu nunca estive na África, mas eu escolhi este tema porque gosto do ritmo, a cultura e as cores. Eu li …. “mal d’Africa” no seu retorno de uma viagem, e isso fascina-me, arrasta-me, faz-me querer viver da forma que eles são! África …. mais cedo ou mais tarde vamo-nos encontrar.
