Mario meets Pokémon Cake

This amazing Mario meets Pokémon Cake was made by Poliana Simão. The amount of detail on this cake is astonishing.

Some of the cool things on the cake are:

  • Pikachu is standing on a water pipe, dressed as Mario and holding a poké ball.
  • Across from Pikachu is a giant poké ball. Mario and Luigi are inside the ball. Luigi is pushing the top of the ball up.
  • Jigglypuff is to the side of Mario and Luigi. It is balancing on two poké balls that are stacked on top of each other.
  • Bowser is in the middle of the cake.
  • Pachirisu is next to Bowser.
  • On the other side of Bowser is a piranha plant

Poliana does a great job mixing and matching Mario and Pokémon characters on this cake. The thing that makes this cake so special is that with all these characters, it isn’t too busy.

Look at the top of the cake, it has Pikachu, Mario, Luigi, Jigglypuff and a bunch of poké balls. Usually that would be way too much for the top of a cake.

Poliana’s design is brilliant.

Look at the main cake. It is supporting two other cakes. One looks like a pipe. The other looks like a grassy field with coins floating in the air. Pikachu is on top of the pipe. The cake that looks like a green field has a two layers. The bottom layer has the two poké balls that Jigglypuff is balancing on. The top layer has the giant poké ball with Mario and Luigi. Instead of being jammed together, the characters are on three different sections of the cake.  This design give each character a chance to shine and makes this a delightful cake.
