Cute Zelda and Link Cookies

Zelda Cookies

I made these Zelda and Link cookies for a Wedding shower gift.

The bride and groom have many fond memories playing Zelda together.

These cookies include a light blue Hylian shield and a darker blue Hylian shield.  Link uses a Hylian Shield in The Legend of Zelda game.

These cookies were inspired by a drawing by Ellenent. In that drawing, Link and Zelda are holding hands and smiling at each other. I really liked her romantic version of Zelda and Link as a Wedding present.

Link and Zelda Cookies

I decided to do the top parts of the characters. Link is looking toward Zelda and Zelda is looking toward Link. Both are smiling.

I made vanilla heart cookies. I covered them in white royal icing. Then I hand-painted the Legend of Zelda characters on the cookies.

I painted 2 versions of the Hylian shield, The first one was lighter blue and this one was darker blue.

Legend of Zelda Cake

This marvelous stained glass Legend of Zelda cake is a two tier cake with Link standing on the top of the cake. The stained glass image is on the side of the bottom tier of the cake. He is holding his bow loaded with an arrow.

This wonderful cake was made by Little Cherry Cake Company.

Here’s a terrific Little Cherry video tutorial where Tracey shows how to make the stained glass picture on the side of the cake and the other parts of the cake.

Marvelous Legend Of Zelda Cookies

Legend Of Zelda Cookies

These absolutely wonderful Legend of Zelda Cookies were made by Punky’s Sugar Shoppe.  My favorite part of these cookies is the texture that Tara creates. While decorating her cookies, Tara uses her icing to give them depth.  There are items that really are in front of other items.  That makes her cookies look 3-D. I’ll talk about this more after the next picture, but Tara also uses lines and crosshatching to create texture.

I love close-ups like this because you can really see the amazing amount of the detail on Link. My favorite part is the crosshatching on his clothes.  Look at the brown portion of his outfit just bellow his collar. That crosshatching shows that this is made of different material then the shirt or jacket. That is so hard to do on a cookie and it gives it such a realistic look.

These cookies are of the Hylian Shield, Master Sword, Triforce, and Piece of Heart. The Piece of Heart cookie is another amazing example of using icing to make a cookie look 3-D.  This is such a stunning set of cookies.

Legend Of Zelda Cake

This wonderful Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask Cake was made by Las tartas del cachorro. Daniel made this cake for the Game On Cake Collaboration.  This cake collaboration tries to bring those video games that we loved as kids to life as sugar art.

The cake features the Skull Kid wearing the Majora’s Mask.  He is playing Legends of Zelda: Majora’s Mask on an Xbox.  Link with his sword and shield in hand has jumped out of the TV screen and looks ready to attack the Skull Kid.

Zelda Cake

I love the way it looks like Link has jumped out of the television screen and is hovering in the air above the Skull Kid.  He has his shield in one hand.  His sword is in his other hand and it looks like Link is about to swing it down at The Skull Kid.  I wish this cake had sound because it looks like Link is yelling at the Skull Kid.  The detail on Link is wonderful.

I like the way that the cake board looks like a hardwood floor.  The widescreen TV is on top of wooden TV stand with two drawers and a door.  On the floor in front of the Skull Kid is an Xbox and Xbox controller.

Daniel’s figure of the Skull Kid is terrific.  Having the Skull Kid wearing the Majora’s Mask is perfect because it makes the Skull Kid look like he is wide eyed in shock.  His head is leaning back just a little and he is looking up at Link.  He even has one arm raised up as if that is going to do any good against Link’s sword.
