Brown Bear Cookies

These Brown Bear cookies feature a Brown bear, a gold fish, a yellow duck, and a blue horse from the children’s book  Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Eric Carle.   This was one of my daughter’s favorite books.  I made these cookies for my niece’s baby shower. In addition I gave her a copy of the book  which inspired the cookies.

To make there cookies, I cut out and baked rectangular cookies.  Next I flooded them with white royal icing and let them dry overnight. Next I used edible markers and edible paints to paint the animals onto these cookies.  After they were finished, I took pictures of the cookies.  Then I added the words using Photoshop Elements to make each cookie look like a page from the book.
