Scooby-Doo Halloween Cake

This wonderful Scooby-Doo Halloween Cake was made by Arte Da Ka.

This is a three tier cake. The bottom tier is grey. It has black cats, spiders, bats and silhouettes of owls in trees. The word boo is written in multiple places. On top of this tier are cute little pumpkin carvings. Some are smiling and some are going oh. Two of the carved pumpkins are wearing black witch hats. Another two have cute little white rabbits sticking their heads out of the pumpkins. There are adorable ghosts floating above and to each side of the pumpkins.

The middle tier is green and has black bats on it. This layer is simple in design because your focal point is the pumpkins and ghosts, not the cake tier.

The top tier is absolutely marvelous. The sun is setting and the sky is purple. There are trees with plenty of branches but no leaves. There are bats flying in the air and resting on the tree’s branches. Right where the sun is setting is the silhouette of a spooky old castle. On top of this tier is a wonderful model of the Mystery Machine.

This cake is so much fun!

What's New Scooby-Doo Cookies

After a decade of no new Scooby-Doo cartoon series, What’s New Scooby-Doo was created. It aired first on Kids WB and then on Cartoon Network. I remember recording it off Cartoon Network and buying the season set DVDs as they were released. Two of my favorite episodes – the ones where Scooby and the gang visit the Scooby Snacks factory and the one which tells the secret origin of the Mystery Machine.

When I saw the Silvie had made cookies based on this show, I had to share them.

Mystery Machine Cookie

This is a front view of the Mystery Machine. Based on the terrified facial expressions of Fred, Daphne and Shaggy, they’ve obviously just spotted a ghost.

Shaggy, Scooby-Doo & The Zombie

Scooby is scared and has hopped into Shaggy’s arms. Scooby is saying g-g-g-ghost. The zombie from Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? is in the corner walking toward them.

Velma and Daphne tickling Scooby-Doo

I love this cookie! Velma and Daphne are tickling Scooby-Doo.

Scooby-Doo eating a burger and Scooby Snacks

If you balance a box of Scooby Snacks in one hand and a hamburger in the other, does that count as a balanced meal?

Scooby-Doo carving a pumpkin

Scooby is carving a pumpkin. I really like pumpkin carvings and feature them every Halloween season.

Shaggy & Scooby

I’m a big fan of Scooby-Doo and I think a large part of the success is the friendship between these two. I can’t imagine Scooby-Doo without it as the focal point.

Scooby-Doo Cupcakes

These Scooby-Doo cupcakes feature him and Shaggy. Scooby and Shaggy love to eat pizza so these cupcakes with them and a slice of pizza is a perfect combination. Shaggy bust was made using fondant. He is resting on an orange fondant base. He is wearing his green shirt. Scooby-Doo is also sitting on an orange base and he is wearing his collar and SD dog tag. The orange bases make it easier to place them on the cupcakes.  The pizza slice is fondant shaped to look like pizza crust with tomato sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Each topper rests on top of chocolate icing.

Scooby Cake Pops

These Scooby-Doo cake pops feature a cake pop with him and a burger cake pop. These remind me of scenes in the cartoon where Scooby-Doo and Shaggy are eating burgers. They love food and burgers are no exception.  The burger cake pop has red ketchup, green lettuce, meat, and a burger bun with sesame seeds on top.  The Scooby-Doo cake pop is a nice candy coated version of him.
