Wow! This Tweety Bird Cake, made by Inspired Cakes – by Amy, is absolutely perfect. The detail on the body and face are spot on. I know what cake Sylvester wants for his birthday! Can Amy make it bird flavored?
Tweety is one of my favorite Looney Tunes characters, so I adore this cake. Growing up, I was a fan of Hanna-Barbera’s cartoons. While I liked Looney Tunes, I preferred Scooby-Doo, the Flintstones, and the Jetsons. Part of that was because most of the Looney Tunes cartoon broadcast on TV were the earlier public domain Merry Melodies.
Back when everyone was renting movies on VHS, a lot of shops had a shelf of tapes that were free when you rented another tape. The shop my husband and I went to had one of those shelfs. There were two tapes that must have made up 75% of our free rentals. One was a collection of Disney’s Humphrey The Bear cartoons; I’m still waiting for In The Bag to be added to Disney+. The other was the best of Tweety and Sylvester. It around six of their very best cartoons and they were absolutely hilarious and stood up to multiple watching. Those wonderful cartoons made me a big fan of Tweety.
This sculpted tweety bird cake must have a nice support structure under this sculpted cake. Then it was covered with fondant.
